My Personal Testimonial to Real Nutrition

I was involved in a car accident several years ago which left me with a brain injury. I suffered major cognitive impairment and also had brain surgery relating to my second aneurysm. Fortunately both have been successful. Rehab three times a week for five years brought me heaps of challenges to regain a near normal way of life. The most being overcoming brain seizure which required a lot of medication, 20 pills a day to cover all medical conditions! I am now down to 17 pills a day. I have come a very long way but was always reading and looking for avenues to continue my road to health. There were a lot of part reviews on eating and nutrition. After talking to a few nutritionists, I was recommended to Jacquie and Tim Dale. I had my first consultation in November 2007 outlining my difficulties.

Basically I am compelled to rest/sleep for 1 1/2 hours midday when my brain becomes tired (physical energy and mental). It simply shuts down. This causes a lack of co-ordination and my speech is very slurred, usually this will continue all day. In my case this is happening less and less. After three weeks I noticed changes in my hair and nails. Shortly after this time when I was suffering from brain shutdown, my partner and myself became aware that my recovery times were noticeably shortened and I was not always relapsing throughout the day.

I will always struggle with shutdowns because of my injury, but I realise with consistent health changes in my nutrition, I am able to monitor and keep my condition under control to a greater extent.

Also a bonus was that I have trimmed down. I would like to thank Jacquie and Tim at Real Nutrition for working with me and for their guidance. I am sure there are alot of people with similar or other conditions who may benefit from their knowledge. I have.
